I fitted it under the number plate light holder. I wiped the area with neat alcohol before fixing. The sticky pad holds it firmly in place, and it looks nice and tidy. I use it as a full time rear camera, mainly to keep an eye on the carrier fitted to the tow bar. I connected this new camera to the existing wiring into the monitor, and it works well enough. A bit darker than my old one, but acceptable. One thing to consider though, objects or vehicles appear a hell of a lot further away than they actually are. I chose this one because it can be placed in multiple positions in the car. i have seen other cameras which only be placed on the license plate but this one, I was able to place on top of the boot which provides a clear rear view. It can be easily stuck to any location you want and the camera can be rotated to allow you to position it both up and down. It comes with video cable (yellow RCA) + power supply (this cable is to be attached to the reverse light to get a signal that the car is reversing) and it is quite long as well (around 4/5 meters). It is enough to reach the front dashboard to connect to my car's screen. If you want it to turn on when the reverse gear is engaged, connect the power cable of the camera to the reversing light. If you want to constantly display the rear view of the car (I think some cars allow this) , you will have to connect the power cable of the camera to the locking and key power on cable. I didn't go for anything dramatic and placed mine above the reg plate. My car is quite small but nonetheless, the video wiring was more than adequate to reach the front of the car and the connection was easy to make. Power just goes to the reverse light wiring which is super easy to do.
